Thank you for shopping the Bravery Blankets list! This is an annual blanket drive for the pediatric intensive care until at Arthur M. Blank Hospital in honor of our son’s birthday. In January 2024, our son, Noah, then 15 months-old, was diagnosed with the flu and admitted to the hospital for difficulty breathing. He was intubated and developed a hole in his lungs causing severe damage. He was transferred to the Egleston PICU to go onto extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) which allowed his lungs to fully collapse and heal while the ECMO pump acted as an external set of lungs. He spent an agonizing 14 days on ECMO with his life literally hanging in the balance. After 14 days he was removed from ECMO and has since made an astonishing recovery. We are blessed to have many more birthdays with him and are honored to donate blankets to other brave kiddos to celebrate his birthday.
